World Kindness Celebration Initiative

The World Kindness Celebration Initiative is a growing movement dedicated to sharing the message of kindness with children everywhere.

Each year on World Kindness Day (November 13th), a new children’s book is revealed at a kindness celebration kick-off event. This featured book becomes the story shared with children throughout the year.

Each visit includes an engaging introduction to kindness, followed by the featured book reading.

In celebration of kindness, every child attending receives a FREE copy of the featured book.

This gifted book is the signature element of every World Kindness Celebration. It allows children not only to learn about kindness, but to personally experience a kind act — something they can take home, treasure, and remember.

To make this possible, at least 1,000 copies of the featured book are donated each year through Benice Publishing at small kindness celebrations held in libraries, community centers, after-school programs, and even birthday gatherings. Additional books are made possible through the generosity of individuals and organizations who believe in helping this mission reach even more children.

Through interactive readings, kindness activities, music, storytelling, and community engagement, the initiative helps children discover that kindness is powerful, magical, and something they already have an endless supply of inside them.

This initiative exists to encourage children — and the child within all of us — to recognize that we are all special, and that through kindness we can discover happiness, feel a sense of belonging, and gain the courage to reach for the stars and become all we are meant to be.
